Hostal Dona Mercedes - Juayua

The room lacked any outlets. The air freshener in the room was overpowering with a strong detergent smell. Noise from a nearby bar kept me awake late into the night, with loud music finishing around 11:30 PM. Air conditioning didn't cool much. It was just a plug-in fan, not very effective for the heat.

Came here for weekend, had amazing 1 day overall. The breakfast was lovely with juice, paying attention to little details.

we didn't want to say goodbye and would love to come back here some time. stayed here for 1 day, liked the hotel, it was fairly clean with great location super close to everything including the buses. location: the venue was close enough to the main square, and the centre.

I was frustrated with only one bathroom for the entire hostel that created a desperate situation in the mornings. The noise from outside was unbearable, especially on weekends. I could hardly get any sleep between the loud music and conversations. The lack of lockers for valuables left me uneasy while I explored the town.

Really enjoyed having vegan and gorgeous breakfast.

Place was fairly clean and incredibly beautiful. Its personnel was nice and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. So glad that wheelchair accessible room with the bathroom, the garden, as example I booked was available: )

Super friendly staff. The garden and indoor spaces were perfect to chill after a day out. I loved the location-it was easy to explore the many cool spots in town. Cooking facilities were a big plus too. Definitely extending my stay!

I almost wanted to give this place a good review, but then i remembered the single bathroom for the whole hostel and that the air conditioning was merely a glorified fan. I really expected some special treatment since i chose this hostel, but apparently, being a guest here means nothing. Truly disappointing, i would not recommend.

Location is perfect, right in the center with a bus stop nearby. The breakfast was fantastic, and I enjoyed a vegan twist on the traditional Salvadorian fare. The single bathroom was a challenge for the number of guests, and the air conditioning didn't cool effectively. The noise from a nearby bar made it hard to sleep at times.

great staff , but minor noise issues

The staff here were friendly. The beautiful double room was very comfortable and clean. The tour to the 7 waterfalls organized by Karlos was a highlight of my stay and revealed the beauty of the area.

There was some minor noise from outside during the night that disturbed my sleep at times.

I loved the typical breakfast with fresh coffee and juice, and the wifi was super fast! The sun terrace and garden area were perfect spots to unwind after a busy day. The only minor hiccup was the lack of mobile payment options, so bring cash with you 😊 Be sure to check out the weekly food festival if you can!
